Space mission analysis · Open source

Know when the sky opens.

STKCraft is open-source space mission analysis. Build a scenario of satellites, ground stations, sensors and targets; propagate it; then see exactly when one can see another — and for how long.

Open source · Pure Rust · Early alpha · No subscription

01 / The craftMission analysis · Pure Rust

Mission analysis, brought into the open.

STKCraft is a native, agent-drivable orbital analysis workspace. Build the scenario, propagate it, and ask the question that matters: who can see what, when, and for how long?

01

Every pass, accounted for.

Satellites, ground stations, sensors and targets in one scenario. Propagate them over a timeline. Read the access window, not just a count.

02

Correct before plausible.

SGP4 against the official verification vectors. Time scales against SOFA. Access geometry against hand-computable cases. If it cannot be verified, it says so.

03

An engine, not a silo.

Every action is a command. The menus, CLI, JSON control channel and MCP server dispatch the same ids, so an agent can do anything a person can.

02 / Mission workspaceOne scenario · One timeline

A mission you can see.

The scenario, the orbit and the answer in one workspace. Scrub the day, watch the geometry change, and read the pass — not a count of passes.

Ground track

The path beneath the orbit, drawn across the visible Earth.

Access window

The minutes when the station can see the satellite above its horizon.

Sensor cone

What the station is allowed to see, not merely what is above the horizon.

STKCraft follows the rules shared by every Craft app: open source, native Rust, local files, no subscription, agent-ready. It is built to sit beside PhotoCraft, CADCraft, GridCraft and the rest — same conventions, different domain.

You are here.

04 / PrinciplesShared by every craft

The same rules. A different sky.

Every Craft app is held to the same standard. STKCraft is no exception.

01

Open source

MIT or Apache-2.0. Read it, fork it, build on it. The source is the product, not a preview.

02

Correct before plausible

A published reference behind every numerical layer. When a value cannot be verified, the answer is an error — never a guess.

03

Native, not wrapped

Pure Rust, compiled to real desktop apps. No Electron, no web view, no browser inside the window.

04

Agent-native

Every user action is a command. The CLI, JSON control channel and MCP server reach the same engine a person does.

05

Your scenario, your machine

Local files. No telemetry, no licence server, no cloud round-trip between you and your work.

06

Everywhere

macOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and the browser via WebAssembly — one Rust codebase, no second-class platform.

05 / StatusEarly alpha · Active development

Built in the open. Shipped with evidence.

STKCraft is early, and this page says so. What exists is tested against published references; what does not exist is on the roadmap.
